Memory Book

The memory book project took me about 3 weeks to complete. It took a long time to do the tutorials, and it didn't take as much time to put the book together. I tried to make the book simple, but still look good at the same time. I had a total of 10 pages. The pages had something that happened to me throughout the year, with pictures. This was by far one of my favorite projects.

Magazine Cover

It's Easy Being Green

This project was a very complicated one. It was wanting me to do things that didn't really make sense, so I had to improvise a little. The complicated part was me trying to fix the stuff that they wanted me to do that looked out of place.

All of my Polaroids!

Here are all of my polaroid pictures!

Frames

The first frame was made by putting a clipping mask over the picture and putting Polaroids on top to make it look as if there are many Polaroids making up one picture.

The second one was simply done by putting wood around the picture.

Polaroid Tape and Curl

The first picture was done by giving it a gradient and warping it with the warp tool.

The second one was done by using the brush tool, rectangle tool, and the eraser tool.

Paperclip Company Advertisement

The paperclip company is a company that reaches out to businesses and professional organizations to try to lure them to buy paperclips. The slogan for the paperclip company is "Holding companies together since 1967", which is the year that this company was founded.

I would imagine this advertisement being in a magazine like "Money" or "Fortune", which are magazine companies that reach out to businesses too.

I know that big companies only care about one thing, which is money. Money here, money there. That's why I incorporated that into my advertisement. This ad is more of a "clever" ad if anything, due to the money being held together by a paperclip. This is how I made it.

1) I took a picture of a 20 dollar bill, along with other bills, being held together by a paperclip on a table.
2) I thought that it would be cool if the bills "illuminated" a little, and so what I did was I used the dodge tool to make the money brighter, and I also brightened up the paperclip part even more so that it would bring the eye to the paperclip.
3) I then used the burn tool and burned the background.
4) I put the logo on the bottom left, so people could recognize it in the future.
5) I put the website link on the bottom right, so that if someone didn't understand the ad, they would understand it after reading the website.
6) I put the slogan in the top center with Swis721 Th BT font, which is a thin font and more professional font.

And here it is.

Spirit Cologne

The goal of this project was to make an advertisement for a company named Spirit Cologne. My task was to make the advertisement playful, yet mature while reeling in people from the ages of 13-35. I cut out 2 other models and put them on either side of me. I then got a picture from the internet of cologne from the company, and I put their slogan on the top left with their logo mid-centered.

Below are the pictures that I got from the internet.

Black and white

I was able to de-saturate this picture, and make my shirt turn back green. I did this by desaturating the image, and used the history brush to bring back the color in my shirt.

High Pass Shot

This is another picture that I edited, which is my highpass shot. All I really did was make the colors of the NYC skyline look like I was actually there.

Sepia Shot

This shot was made by putting on 2 layer masks and messing with the color a little bit.

Focused Shot

This is my focused shot photo. In the background, I have the skyline of New York City blurred out, simply using a layer mask, feathering it, and putting black paint over my face.

Makeover

I did many different things with the first (original) picture. I used many layers and layer masks for this project. I first made myself a little tanner by putting a light overlay of brown over my face. I then whitened my teeth, and took out a few wrinkles. The last thing I did was put in a liquefied filter and made it look like my face was softer.

Face Tone

As you can tell, the light that was used to take the picture is all over his face. All I had to do what use the healing brush again and cover up the bright parts of his face

Wrinkle Removal

I was able to fix her wrinkles by using the healing brush tool. It was a very easy process, and I only had to redo some things a couple times.

Teeth Whitening

Can you tell which one is whiter? All I had to do in this tut is use the dodge tool and change the blend to midtone. I then applied it to the teeth and even a little bit to the eyes.

Eye Makeup

I opened the photo, and put another layer on top changing the blending mode to color. I then used a soft brush and made it look like she applied the eye makeup.

Changing Hair Color

In order to put color on the hair and to make it look like it was dyed, I went into quick mask mode and painted over the hair, giving it a lighter opacity and making it look realistic.

Modifying The Nose

As you can tell, I did a little touching up on the nose by liquefying it and using the Pucker tool. This was a very simple one step project.
